Tidal Elite Performance Center is conveniently located in the Tenleytown area of upper NW Washington D.C. Our 2,900 square foot facility is divided into areas designated for warm-up, training, and recovery.
Our athletes can warm-up or work-out on their own while watching RCN Cable Television with remote control or by listening to Sirius Satellite Radio.
The equipment we use focuses on the “user-defined” aspect of resistance training. This training modality maximizes proprioception by forcing the athlete to not only produce movement, but also to stabilize their body creating both neurological and muscular adaptation.
We have Precor Ellipticals and Woodway Treadmills. Our Woodway treadmills feature a longer and wider running surface, as well as a more powerful motor. With a peak elevation of 25 degrees and top speed of 18mph, there’s not much you can’t accomplish on them. The individual rubber slats that compose the running surface offer more comfort and stability, as well as improved traction.
We also feature Keiser Performance Trainers. Keiser leads the way in functional, power training equipment. With watt output displays on multiple pieces of equipment, we are able to train power output and go beyond “set/rep” limitations. This is essential in training at explosive speeds.
The Cycleops Electronic TrainerPlus is another piece of equipment that we feature that allows cyclists and triathletes to train at our facility on their own bikes. This is great for training indoors when the elements don’t allow you train outdoors.
We also feature Dartfish -- exclusive to Tidal EPC in the DC-Metro area. Dartfish is cutting-edge movement analysis and teaching software. It allows our trainers to offer the most comprehensive movement assessments and gives the athletes visual feedback to verbal cues.
While it’s tailored to the athletic environment, Dartfish serves as an essential teaching tool. From an athletic standpoint, it serves as a great asset to our speed, agility and plyometric programs. The program also allows us to break down game and practice footage, as well as produce recruiting videos.
Tidal EPC also features a full set of free weights, a separate Plyo/Agility room for individual and team workouts, as well as a full locker room with shower amenities.
